So what makes Mifo true wireless earbuds the best all around earbuds?
✅ Pros:
- Earbuds That Won’t Fall Out: The Mifo O5 Plus Gen 3 earbuds are purpose built for all day use, in particular transitioning from physical activities like running or the gym to other environments. Mifo claims to have studied over 2,000 ear shapes in creating a product that “won’t fall out, no matter what,” which overall we agree with. It’s a fit you need to experience to understand.
- Tough As Nails Casing: The O5 is made from machined aircraft grade fully recyclable aluminum, and it shows. Durability and safety are top of mind, and we appreciate Mifo did not spare any expense in materials.
- Outstanding Sound Quality: These earbuds deliver powerful bass and excellent passive noise canceling in a tiny package. Transparency mode lets you hear ambient sounds with a tap, perfect for quick interactions without removing your earbuds. This premium feature at a sub-$200 price is a game-changer.
- Two Devices In One + Category Best Battery Life: Mifo clocks in at 10 hours of continuous playback, while the USB-C charging case adds a category breaking extra 150 hours. The case also doubles as a power bank, capable of fully charging a smartphone—a feature Mifo touts as unique to their tech.
❌ Cons:
- Frequently Out of Stock/Limited Color Options: Mifo offers a few colors, however maintaining stock seems to be an issue. Amazon often runs out, while the brand website fares better.

Why Jabra makes the list of best earbuds
✅ Pros:
- Great Sound Quality: The Elite 8 delivers impressive high and low tones, even if the bass isn’t as rich as some competitors. Simple, intuitive controls make it easy to manage music and calls on the go.
- Reliable Connectivity: Jabra Elite 8 earbuds offer strong signal quality and stable calls, avoiding the common pitfalls of true wireless earbuds. This is particularly valuable for those frequently on the phone.
❌ Cons:
- Fit Issues with Sweat: Due to a unique shape that works well in most situations, the earbuds have a tendency to fall out when sweat accumulates, making them less reliable for intense workouts.
- Limited Sport Features: Not the best for gym use due to occasional pairing issues, especially after resets or power loss. The earbuds come with fewer ear tips than competitors, which can affect fit and stability during runs.

Gigabeat Rating:

Where to buy the Bose QuietComfort Ultra
Bose has delved into the true wireless category by focusing on sound quality and fit. And while the QuietComfort Ultra is an excellent sounding product, it suffers from a “jack of all trades” implementation, costing Bose a higher position in our list.

$229.99 at Amazon.com►
Gigabeat Rating:

Where to buy the Sony Linkbuds Fit
Sony have spent years of research and development on the LinkBuds Fit, but over engineered an expensive and somewhat clumsy wireless earbuds product for the gym. And while the active noise canceling and sound quality are superb, those little annoyances add up with an otherwise excellent product.

Why Sony stumbles on features and value

- Effective Noise Cancellation: They offer strong noise cancellation to block out background noise when you need to focus on your workout or music.

Apple AirPods Pro 3: Expensive translation features with weak battery
$249.00 at Amazon.com►
Gigabeat Rating:

Where to buy the Apple AirPods Pro 3
Apple has long favored incremental innovation, and the AirPods Pro 3 follow suit. The form factor and fit are nearly unchanged from the previous generation, but they add new internals designed to integrate more tightly with the Apple ecosystem. The much-touted real-time translation feature, however, feels clunky and drains the battery—at a hefty premium.

Apple is at it again with the latest AirPods Pro
✅ Pros:
- Familiar Design And Functionality: For those who love the AirPods Pro 2, the latest edition will be familiar and user friendly. No significant changes have been made to the shell or case, and specs remain as they were for the most part in the prior version.
- Real Time Translation (Sort Of): Apple has advertised real time translation as one of the core reasons to purchase new AirPods. That said, the feature does work, albeit slowly. Delay during conversations can be annoying and off putting, and the simultaneously activated noise canceling feature is a battery drainer.
❌ Cons:
- Battery Life: You’ll get about 5 hours of active use from the AirPods Pro 3 before they need to go back to the charging case, and annoying and disappointing use time given the high price point.
- Sound Quality: Apple AirPods have always had a tinny, light overlay to music and podcasts, and the AirPods Pro 3 continue the tradition. Some users may not care, but many report poor sound as a reason they stopped buying at gen 1.
- Accident Prone: The familiar ball and stem form factor create a familiar problem: Bumps and snags knock the AirPods Pro flying. The included silicone ear tips add some stability, but not nearly enough to feel comfortable wearing in the gym or while sleeping.
Raycon Fitness: Overhyped and underpowered wireless earbuds
$119.99 at Amazon.com►
Gigabeat Rating:

Where to buy the Raycon Fitness Bluetooth earbuds
Raycon released the Fitness in 2024 as a push into the gym. Today, the advertising push that made them famous continues on podcasts and other digital media. Hype aside, the tech is dated and specs are lacking with many superior choices on the market in a similar price range.

Why the Raycon Fitness are in dire need of an update
✅ Pros:
- Comfortable, Lightweight Design: While there are many drawbacks to the Raycon Fitness, one positive aspect is a very comfortable design that can be worn all day.
- Easy to Set Up: The Raycon Fitness earbuds are plug and play, making them useful for most Bluetooth devices. With no mandatory app or special setup to walk through, users will find the earbuds are simple and problem free out of the box.
❌ Cons:
- Abysmal Battery Life: A common pain point with older model earbuds, the Fitness suffer from battery life as short as 4 hours based on use. The included case recharges earbuds up to twice, but begins to lose the ability to hold charge after about 8 months.
- Questionable Durability: Made with injection molded plastic, the Raycon Fitness show scratches and dings almost immediately. Visible seams in the earbuds may indicate less than adequate quality for banging around the gym.
- Poor Call Quality: To their credit, the Raycon Fitness don’t purport to be best at making calls. That said, call quality is tinny and background noise is annoyingly audible to anyone unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of a call.
Runners-up: The Best Wireless Earbuds
There are many, many wireless earbuds in the market. And while we attempt to test as many as possible for our readers, some units simply don’t make the cut. Here’s a quick peek at athlete-inspired earbuds that didn’t make the list.
Jabra Elite Sport – $199.99 at Amazon►
Gigabeat Rating:

Jabra is well known for call quality and overall aesthetic, so we were surprised to find the Elite Sport fall a bit flat. While the earbuds are just fine in a number of categories, they fail to excel in any one. What we end up with is a jack of all trades priced at absurd levels.
Jaybird Run XT – $99.99 at Amazon►
Gigabeat Rating:

The Jaybird Run XT are designed and named for runners. It’s a shame that these purpose-built true wireless earbuds don’t live up to the moniker. Jaybird has the right idea, but falls short in sound quality and Bluetooth signal strength.
Samsung Galaxy Buds – $99.99 at Amazon►
Gigabeat Rating:

The Galaxy smartphone is one of the most popular on the planet, and the pressure to create award-winning accessories is high. But from active movers’ perspectives, the Galaxy Buds don’t quite justify their price tag. Samsung tackled the challenge of an all around decent product, but didn’t take the specs far enough (in particular battery life at a weak 4 hours of continuous use).
